​​​​​​​The Rachel Summerfield Memorial MVP Award – For a Premier 1 player

1.   From the first game until the last game of the ACL Premier 1 competition in 2023, MVP points will be accumulated for players, nominated by the opposing team in the game. Nominations must be submitted for recording by the centre manager for uploading onto the Mid Canterbury Netball website no later than midday the day after the game has been played. These must be emailed to info@mcnetball.co.nz, loaded in to the ‘notes’ section on the app when submitting scores, or sent via text message to 0273084688.

2.   At the completion of each game played in the premier grades, a representative from the opposition team (coach, manager or captain) will award two (2) MVP points to a player in the opposing team in recognition of outstanding and fair play against them during that game.

3.   Points will accumulate during the season and the semi-finals night will be the last opportunity to earn MVP points. MVP points will not be awarded on finals night.

4.   After the completion of the competition, the MVP of the ACL Premier 1 Grade will be the player or players with the most points collected throughout the season.

5.   The MVP award will be presented to the winner/s at an appropriate end of season function.
